Herm is the smallest island making up the Bailiwick of Guernsey bought by the States of Guernsey after WWII and now rented out privately. Herm is one of the Channel Islands that doesn’t have cars giving it a serene unspoilt landscape. The island used to be home to a monastery and this is easy to see in the calm meditative atmosphere that still envelops Herm.
